There is an internship opportunity available through Teradata, a Fortune 100o provider of enterprise data warehouse platforms, software, and systems. They are looking for a Managed Cloud Information Security intern for this upcoming summer in San Diego.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a contributing member of the Teradata Managed Cloud security team. The focus of the Cloud team is on the expansion of Teradata managed services globally while maintaining and advancing existing Teradata Managed Cloud services. Responsibilities

• Assist team enhance and mature its application security program • Evaluate vendor technologies and solutions for improving existing Teradata Managed Cloud Security processes/technologies (opportunities for automation and system integration) • Evaluate and deploy ServiceNow Governance-Risk and Compliance Proof of Concept aiming to increase automation of governance activities and overall audit fatigue reduction

Basic Requirements

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written are required • Candidate needs to work effectively in a development team environment and have good resource management skills to successfully work on multiple projects at one time • Understanding of SDLC and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) including performing threat modeling and risk assessments • Exposure to static/dynamic analysis tools (Nessus, Fortify, WhiteHat, Coverity) • Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure security a definite plus • Familiarity with security standards including NIST/FedRAMP, ISO 27001/2, HIPAA Security Rule, PCI DSS as well as an understanding of security auditing, risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident management. • Solid understanding of technical security controls and/or security governance and risk management • A good understanding of LINUX operating systems (user level) • Basic shell or other scripting language • Web development knowledge and experience a definite plus!
